Welcome to the website of El Dorado K9 Training, Inc. ("we", "us", "our", or the "Company"). We operate two physical pet resorts under the registered business names Animal Den Pet Resort (Sacramento, CA) and The Local Bark (Rancho Cordova, CA) (collectively, the "Resorts").

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our websites:

(collectively, the "Sites"), including any online services, client booking portals, or tools offered through these Sites.

By accessing, browsing, or booking services through our Sites, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Sites.

Scope of Agreement & Connection to Physical Services:

These Website Terms govern your digital use of our Sites.

Please note that reserving services (including boarding, daycare, grooming, or training) through our online booking portals does not guarantee service. All pet owners must agree to and sign our master physical El Dorado K9 Training, Inc. Services Agreement prior to or at the time of dropping off any dog at our Resorts. In the event of a conflict between these Website Terms and the physical Services Agreement, the terms of the physical Services Agreement shall control.

Online Bookings, Deposits, & Payments:

To request boarding, training, or daycare services, you will be redirected from our Sites to our secure, third-party client booking portal.

  • Payment & Security: All rates are set at the start of each pet's visit. Prices are subject to change without notice, and seasonal rates may apply. You agree to pay us for all services provided at the rates set forth. Payment information entered into our client portal is handled securely and tokenized directly by our payment processor. We do not store raw credit card numbers on our servers.

  • Holidays & Deposits: For reservations spanning major holidays, a deposit of one (1) night in the selected room size is required at the time the reservation is made.

  • Cancellations & Refunds: To receive a full refund of your holiday reservation deposit, you must cancel your reservation seven (7) or more days prior to your scheduled drop-off date. Deposits for reservations canceled less than seven (7) days before drop-off are non-refundable.

Mandatory Pet Health & Safety Requirements:

To protect all animals and staff at our Resorts, any booking initiated through our Sites is strictly conditional on meeting our health requirements:​

  • Vaccinations: No dog may stay at either Resort unless we have received official confirmation from a licensed veterinarian that the dog is current on all vaccinations required by the Company (including Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella).

  • Representations: By requesting a booking, you represent and warrant that your dog is healthy, has not been exposed to rabies, distemper, or parvo virus within the 30 days prior to their stay, is spayed or neutered (unless otherwise disclosed in writing), and does not have undisclosed behavioral or aggression problems.

  • Refusal of Service: We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog at any time, for any reason, including lack of proper vaccination records or aggressive behavior.

Emergency Veterinary Care & Expenses:

By submitting a booking request on our Sites, you acknowledge that in the event of a medical emergency involving your dog while in our care, we will use reasonable efforts to contact you, your veterinarian, or your designated emergency contact.

If we are unable to reach you, or if immediate care is required, you authorize the Company to obtain medical attention from any qualified veterinarian and to transport your dog to and from such veterinarian at our sole discretion. You agree to pay for all related costs and veterinary expenses incurred on your dog's behalf.

Liability Limits & Assumption of Risk:

  • Website Use: Your use of our Sites is at your own risk. The Sites are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that our Sites will be secure, error-free, or uninterrupted.

  • Assumption of Risk for Services: You acknowledge and agree that you assume all risks of illness, disease, harm, or injury to your dog by allowing them to stay at or be cared for by the Company.

  • Liability Cap: It is expressly agreed that our liability for any injury, loss, harm, or death of a dog under our care, transportation, or off-site handling shall in no event exceed the sum of $400.00 per dog admitted.

Intellectual Property & Media Release:

  • Website Content: All text, graphics, logos, images, code, and software on our Sites are the exclusive property of El Dorado K9 Training, Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any site content without our prior written consent.

  • Media Release: By using our services, you agree to allow us to use your dog's name and any images or likenesses of your dog taken while under our care in any form or format, at any time, for media, marketing, advertising, illustration, or promotional materials across our Sites and social media platforms.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution (Arbitration):

These Terms, your use of our Sites, and any disputes arising out of your relationship with the Company shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

ARBITRATION CLAUSE & JURY TRIAL WAIVER: YOU AGREED TO WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. Any dispute or claim in law or equity arising out of or relating to your use of our Sites, these Terms, or any transaction resulting from this agreement shall be decided by neutral binding arbitration in accordance with the California Code of Civil Procedure, Part III, Title 9. The arbitration shall take place in California, and the arbitrator's fee shall be paid by the losing party.

We may update the Terms and Conditions periodically. Any updates will be posted directly on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top. We encourage you to check back regularly to stay informed on how we protect your information.
